HOLLYWOOD - Canadian singer Celine Dion could probably be spending the very last Christmas with his hubby-cum music manager Rene Angelil (73) whose health is deteriorating due to throat cancer.

Dion took a deserving pause from her heavy schedule until 30 December, so that she can enjoy family time. She has a run until 2019.

"To see him, how strong he is, I knew I was his favourite singer, I knew he was the best manager, I knew he was very smart, I knew he was handsome.

I knew it all, but when sickness is imposed to you, and they show you on a daily basis how strong they are," she mentioned to Hello.

Sources close to the couple say Celine is trying to make her time with her long-time love count.

"This is very likely the last Christmas they will celebrate with Rene. Celine is trying to make the most of whatever time they have left with Rene," a friend mentioned.

The couple married since 1994, are blessed with three children - Rene-Charles (14), and twins Nelson and Eddy, aged five.

"I am scared of losing him, because it's bad. But I have to show myself, my husband and my kids that I'm strong and we're okay."

Despite the sad developments, friends reveal that she remains hopeful.

"Celine is hopeful by nature. She puts her trust in her faith."

Speaking about his family, she mentioned: "Singing gives me an opportunity to express myself and release stress…and [then] go back home and not allow my kids and my husband to feel my stress because I’m scared." - MailOnline/The Aloe News
