Pretoria - Mathapelo Nkuna lives in fear of being turned into a lizard.
This comes after her boyfriend, a witchdoctor, allegedly threatened to bewitch her when she tried to break off their relationship of four months.The 29-year-old woman from Atteridgeville in Tshwane said she met her boyfriend, Solly Mohlala, in December when she went to him for a consultation.
“I had lost my job and was having bad luck. He started declaring his love for me. I decided to give him a chance and he showered me with expensive gifts, bought me a cellphone and threw me a birthday bash that cost R10 000,” she said.

“In February he built me a two-roomed shack and furnished it, but he said if another man visited me he would bewitch him.
“He said he would turn me into a lizard that sits in the sun all day long.” Then last Friday, she said, she found Solly sprinkling a concoction inside her shack.
But Solly has denied having a relationship with Mathapelo. “I offered to buy her a shack because she was homeless. I didn’t buy her anything or throw her a birthday bash,” he said. He also denied using magic to hurt anyone. - Daily Sun
