Apostolic Faith Mission president, Dr Aspher Madziyire and the Harare Metropolitan Provincial Minister Miriam Chikukwa took a strong stance against homosexuality during the official opening of AFM Devine Grace Assembly Church recently.

Speaking during the ceremony, Madziyire said he hopes the church will stand against immoral values particularly homosexuality in Zimbabwe.

“I am so excited to see such a big church, it’s important to build churches like these in order for people’s souls to be saved, we need to honour the leaders of the country who speak against homosexuality and speak against lesbianism.
President Robert Mugabe has Spoken Against Homosexuality

These are ideas coming from other countries, we need to teach the people about the evils of these ideas from foreign lands,’’ he said.

“We can see that homosexuality is unholy because it has no production, a man and a man cannot produce anything, God is only interested in production. The next thing the church should build is a school.’’

Chikukwa praised the leadership of Shawarira and encouraged church members to seek God’s approval over all else.

‘’I am standing here representing President Mugabe; the President is a Christian just like us because of the long life he has been blessed with.

“He also speaks against homosexuality because it is an evil that must not be allowed to spread in the country,’’ she said.

“People ask me how I can mix politics and religion, I simply tell them that the bible is full of politics, from the book of Genesis to the book of revelation, those who don’t realize this should revise their bible knowledge,” she added. - H-metro
