Michael Zuma, Winnie Mandela: 'Why Jacob Zuma Should Resign' -

President Jacob Zuma's brother, Michael is a worried man - and he says he wants him to resign because the family fears for his life.

In an exclusive with the Sunday Times, Michael Zuma mentioned that a sections of the family had encountered scary dreams - though he and his wife, Thembekile MaXulu didn’t reveal the details.

Soka, Michael's late son appeared in one of the dreams outside the family kraal.

Five pastors had also visited Nkandla to give the president a message after they had a vision of former president Nelson Mandela, but he had left the homestead the day before they arrived.

Michael said the vision related to a speech given by Mandela in the early 1990s and reflected what was happening in Zuma’s life.

The couple didn’t give more details. “My brother is having a very difficult time. “My brother has such difficulty and in a way that we fear they are going to kill him,” said Michael.

Thembekile added: “We fear for his life.

“As a family we sometimes think they are going to kill him. In our humble view we tell ourselves that maybe if he comes home he will be away from them. We are scared because he is among them.”

Struggle stalwart, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has also joined the call for a leadership overhaul.

"We cannot pretend we do not have problems, we cannot pretend things are not wrong in our country.

"A lot of things are wrong. The kind of introspection we need will need a whole layer of fresh leadership combined with the elders who are still left in the organisation to revisit what has happened since 1994...," she said in Soweto.

Recently, Zuma called on Parliament to keep its members in line.

The president says it's difficult for him to fulfill his constitutional obligations under a barrage of insults and name-calling by some Members of Parliament (MPs).

Zuma said the constant mocking he faces from some MPs cannot be considered Parliamentary. “Each time when I come here I’m abused. I think this house must do something about it.”

This was after the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) excused itself from the sitting, refusing to be addressed by a president it labelled as a thief and criminal.

“We’re going to leave this house, but we’ll wait outside. When the criminal finishes speaking, we’re coming back,” EFF leader Julius Malema said.

Thembekile also blasted those who still criticised Zuma over his Nkandla homestead even after he paid back the money. - Online Sources
