Harare – A female black widow spider devours its male counterpart after copulating and fertilisation – and there is a link between the spider, Renica Chakabvapasi – a 30-year-old nurse from Zimbabwe – and Uloma Walker-Curry from Nigeria?

Renica is under police investigations for drugging her patients to death – thereafter – she used their identification to claim insurance cover from Old Mutual Life Assurance Company.
Uloma however hired three gunmen, ambushed and killed her husband William Walker in their driveway in USA.
Renica and her boyfriend Takarwa Mungwangi are allegedly to have connived to commit crimes – and one victim has to be exhumed to help police with investigations.

The duo was nabbed attempting to claim a $5 000 purse from Lee Mazarire’s benefits, while posing as his relatives.
Relatives are assisting police with investigations – while the body will undergo another post-mortem. Police spokesperson in Harare confirmed the inquiries to the media.
“The two are still in custody and as police, we are still investigating the case to ascertain whether the deceased (Mazarire) died as a result of the tablets she was given by Chakabvapasi or not.
“Investigations have also revealed that there are two similar cases, which occurred last year involving the same accused persons.”
Mazarire’s relative said, “We are busy here digging Lee’s grave at Kwekwe section 10 cemetery. The police are exhuming his body for post-mortem.”
She is convinced he victim was killed by the accused after an overdose with an unknown pill – soon after, he died.
Insurance workers raised an alarm after noticing the shenanigans – and have since distance themselves from the act.
Police have retrieved different pills, injections, various particulars including insurance claim forms from Renica’s home.
The duo has been remanded in custody.
