Hardly a month after a Kenyan husband was jailed for chopping his wife's hands for failing to conceive, another South African man has made headlines for killing his wife and went on a drinking spree.

Stephen Ngila attacked Jackline Mwende with a machete triggering the ire of women pressure groups. 

When he returned for the tavern, the Mozambican resident in Limpopo, claimed his wife was murdered for a ritual rite. Police details discovered bloodied clothes in the toilet, leading to is arrest.
