Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given a defiant message to his critics, insisting: "I built this club." - Wenger continues to come under fire after the Gunners slipped to defeat at Liverpool on Saturday, leaving them outside the Premier League top four.
It follows their 5-1 humbling at the hands of Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie ahead of the second fixture at the Emirates on Tuesday night. Wenger was asked about his future at Monday's press conference, but says he will take his time before making a decision. |

"I think I have built this club," said the Frenchman. "I want it to be successful so I want to take a bit of time before making a decision. It is about the team performance, not the individual, Our game is built on collective expression."
Arsenal will again be without Mesut Ozil for the return leg against Bayern after the German missed the defeat at Anfield throgh illness. Skipper Per Mertesacker admitted the atmosphere in the squad is tense with Alexis Sanchez set to leave the club in the summer. The Chilean was benched for the trip to Liverpool after a series of rows with Wenger.
Mertesacker said: "It's a little bit tense [in the squad] but that is normal when you have a stretch like this. "We need our fans to back us up. We've done some wrong in previous games. The spirit is a bit tense but that's normal." - Online Sources
