Durban’s finest and Afrotainment’s boss, DJ Tira might relocate to Europe if demand of for his music continues to grow.

Over the years, his unique brand has become synonymous with Europeans, especially in Germany where he might be relocated.

“If the demand grows, I’ll be forced to be based in Germany. Making this major move won’t be a problem for me, as I’ll be sharing what’s hot on Mzansi’s dance floors,” said DJ Tira born Mthokozisi Khathi to the Daily Sun.

From the 9 May, he will be performing in Berlin.

“I’ve been booked because the Germans are fascinated by the gqom movement that’s currently taking over the world,” DJ Tira said.

He reveals the popularity of their brand.

“It’s a pleasure for me to share and represent this sound. In fact, the growth of this sound will give more gqom producers exposure. The world is waiting, we should push this sound.”

After years of hard work, Afrotainment is finally reaping the rewards.

“He’s done a great job of promoting local stuff overseas, and it’s now paying off. In recent months, he was first invited to play at the Love Out Loud expo that took place in Berlin, Germany,” revealed a source.

His demand has seen him play in five nightclubs in one night. The exposure has put South Africa on the world stage, another source added.

“He’s excited and glad that pioneering local artists. The likes of Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Black Coffee have paved the way for him and other dedicated entertainers to share Mzansi’s flavour with the world.” – www.tinzwei.com/Daily Sun
