Harare – Zimbabwe’s performing duo of Oliver Mtukudzi alongside American-based Tinashe have been incorporated in the 2017 Forbes Africa annual ‘Top 10 Most Bankable Artists in Africa’.
Mtukudzi boasts more than 60 albums under his name, with a career dating back to the 60s alongside Chimurenga guru, Thomas Mapfumo.Derick Matsengarwodzi
The jazz maestro competes for a slot with Africa’s best in showbiz including Akon, Hugh Masekela, and Black Coffee among others.

RnB sensation Tinashe Kachingwe, fresh from a captivating rendition of the American anthem at Wrestle Mania in America, is also among the top 10 – at position 5.
Masekela a Grammy nominee, honorary doctorates holder – a brand ambassador for Assupol since 2012 has more than 43 albums released and millions of YouTube views.
Speaking to CNN, Mr Eazi, a Nigerian Afrobeats artist said, “This is an amazing time for African music. Because of the Internet, Africans are exposed to the rest of the world without travelling. Afrobeat is now urbanised – the Internet has made everything well-packaged.”
