Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Striker 'so Strong' Doctors Want him for Research

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's strength has made such an impression on doctors they want to carry out research on him once he retires.

That's according to the Manchester United striker's agent Mino Raiola, following the Swede undergoing a successful operation on his knee.

Ibrahimovic sustained ligament damage in the Red Devils' Europa League victory over Anderlecht in the second leg of their quarter-final last month.

Many feared - given the fact the forward is 35 years old - that the injury would force the Swede to retire from the game. However the former PSG and Barcelona man said he was "fixed, done and stronger" following surgery - and it appears he wasn't lying.
The Man United Forward Strength has Surprised Doctors

"His knee is so strong that the doctors said they had never seen anything like it," Raiola told Swedish newspaper Expressen.

"He has a knee that it is almost impossible for a football player with a 20-year career to have. It was quite clean, there was no harm in it.

"Zlatan is so strong that the doctor wants him back after his career to research on him. They work on the world's best research institutions for the knees and ligaments.

"They research a lot on the subject and that is why they are better than everyone else, and doctors want back Zlatan to do research on him. So after Zlatan's career, we will go back and open him up again to do research on his ligaments."

Ibrahimovic is still in the USA recovering from his cruciate knee operation in Pittsburgh after suffering the injury. But the Swede won't be staying at Old Trafford after deciding to leave Manchester.

Sunday People Sport understands his family are moving out of their home in the Cheshire footballer's enclave of Hale next month – even though the luxury property was rented until the start of next season.

Ibrahimovic's family are understood to have already started saying goodbye to friends they've made since moving into the area seven months ago. - The Mirror
