Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns could be in a potential tug-of-war for the services of Mosa Lebusa from Ajax Cape Town.

The defender has been identified as a potential transfer target for both Pirates and Sundowns. As reported previously, Downs have joined Bucs in the race for Lebusa’s services, as the player is expected to be one of the major transfers of the July/August transfer window.
Sundowns Target

Pirates, who first showed interest in Lebusa two seasons ago, have renewed their interest in the player. The 24-year-old has been identified as a potential addition to Kjell Jonevret’s side for the 2017/18 season.

Sources in the know have told the Siya crew that the Buccaneers are not the only admirers of the player, as Sundowns are believed to be also interested in him. According to sources, Downs have officially approached Ajax for the Thabong-born player with a view to sign him.

Lebusa is currently under contract at Ajax, which means that any interested club will need to pay a transfer fee and buy him out of his current deal. Lebusa is a graduate of Ajax’s youth system.

He made his official debut for the Urban Warriors in 2012 and has been with the team since. - Soccer Laduma
