Roma winger Mohamed Salah, 25, is due to fly into London's Heathrow Airport later on Tuesday after his Italian club gave him permission to complete his move to Liverpool, according to the Mirror. 

West Brom have resumed talks with Southampton over a £12m deal for 27-year-old striker Jay Rodriguez. Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is set to make two more signings.

Huddersfield Town are preparing an offer for Auxerre's 21-year-old defensive midfielder Brahim Konate. Goalkeeper Matz Sels is edging closer to leaving Newcastle United with Anderlecht hopeful of completing a loan deal for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is expected to push the need for quick signings when he meets club owner Roman Abramovich later this week. Chelsea will enter the race to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal, with Liverpool and Manchester City also interested in the 23-year-old England midfielder. 

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 32, will not hold Manchester United to ransom over his wage demands to make sure a transfer can go through this summer. Alternatively, Manchester United have serious reservations about re-signing the Portugal captain.

And United manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for Ronaldo. Spanish champions Real Madrid have received no offers for any of their players - including Spain striker Alvaro Morata, a target for Manchester United - according to president Florentino Perez.

Manchester City are preparing a bid for Borussia Dortmund and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 28. West Ham could face a battle from Manchester United for Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart, 30. 

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is due to hold talks with owner Roman Abramovich and the Premier League champions are optimistic the Italian will extend his contract. The Blues are willing to increase the 47-year-old's salary to around £9.5m a year.

Dani Alves has told Juventus he wants to leave and reunite with his former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Juventus have discussed terminating the contract of Alves by mutual consent. The 34-year-old's representatives have held talks with Manchester City over a potential move, while Chelsea have also been sounded out over a move for the Brazil full-back.

Southampton will speak to former Alaves coach Mauricio Pellegrino imminently and may appoint him as the club's new manager by the end of this week. Nemanja Matic is keen on a move to Manchester United, so the 28-year-old Serbia midfielder can be reunited with former manager Jose Mourinho.

Barcelona will re-sign 23-year-old Spain winger Gerard Deulofeu from Everton for £10.5m and are also pushing to sign 24-year-old Paris St-Germain and Italy midfielder Marco Verratti.

Everton have made a move for highly rated Netherlands Under-18 international defender Nathangelo Markelo, according to his club FC Voldendam. Swansea have held discussions with ex-Chelsea defender John Terry, 36, and remain hopeful they can persuade the former England captain to join the Welsh club next season.

Mohamed Salah is waiting to be given the go-ahead to fly to Merseyside as he looks to complete his protracted move from Roma to Liverpool. No date has been booked for the 25-year-old's medical and the club are yet to reach an agreement over a transfer fee for the Egypt winger.

Newcastle will complete a £9m deal for Porto and Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar, 25, and the Magpies have triggered an £8.7m clause to sign Eibar's French defender Florian Lejeune, 26.

Former Arsenal defender and current Granada boss Tony Adams has been brought on board by a consortium of fans looking to buy Sunderland. Newly promoted Huddersfield are in advanced talks with Chelsea to sign 20-year-old midfielder Izzy Brown, who spent last season on loan at the club.
