Though the post required candidates to have completed a three-year specialization course in cardiology in addition to a physician’s basic qualification, Mokgobu had access to fake cardiologist certificates from US.

The culprit was sentenced to three years in jail without any option for a fine by a local court, revealed Matimba Maluleke, a Hawks spokesperson.

The department will remain vigilant against any more chance takers and will make sure they are brought to book,” mentioned Health spokesperson Derrick Kganyago, as he praised the stringent sentence.
