Masandawana Offload: 5 Players Who Need to Move from Chloorkop

The football season break proffers an opportunity for romour mongers to peddle a possible destination, latest signings – and wish list for fans and coaches alike.

But for those in the mix, this crucial phase may mean life and death – literally. It is a moment that allows Premier Soccer League players to relocate to new bases where they can get more game time – after all that is their ultimate calling – playing soccer.

For some it is an escape route towards greener pastures – an escape route, hoping fortunes will be better on the other side – and some players want out – and now. Sadly, rich clubs can afford to sideline such talent, while other teams are in desperate lack of such firepower.

Below, www.tinzwei.com analyse 5 Masandwana players that could do with a switch elsewhere.
Khama Billiat

Khama Billiat
Every year, romours concerning the reigning PSL Footballer of the Year holder refuse to die – whether on the pitch or off. Once he was target of Egyptian giants, Belgium Pro League sides Club Brugge and KV Oostende – the list is endless.

However, the dragging point was his buyout clause amounting to R35 million, which was the agenda for discussion before his agent Edzai Kasinauyo passed on.

Many will not deny that the mercurial Zimbabwean international is a prized asset. And an immediate move to a higher level to test his abilities against some of the world’s best might be timely for the 27-year-old star.

At that ripe age, he will become less attractive to European clubs the longer he stays in South Africa. However, Billiat was spotted wearing the latest Brazilians new kit – meaning he might be ready for another dance in the PSL.

Samuel Julies
Latest media reports say the player is moving to Chippa United – well good news for him if the reports are true. Julies has already started training with Chippa and is said to have signed his contract a few weeks ago following the expiry of his deal at Mamelodi Sundowns, reports Kickoff.

Officials at Chippa have confirmed that Julies is now at the club though choosing not to go into detail about his contract situation. The 26 year-old made the switch after finding it difficult to break through at Chloorkop.

Making his PSL debut during the 2011-12 season – Julies only started eight games in the colours of The Brazilians and has also spent time away playing on loan with Vasco da Gama in the First Division.

Last season he started a single game at Sundowns and came on from the bench in another two.

Motjeka Madisha
Like his teammate‚ Julies‚ the 21-year-old former Amajita captain needs yet another loan move elsewhere to accumulate some vital game time. After a prolonged trial, Madisha has failed to break into Sundowns’ starting line-up since being promoted to the first team this season.

He spent last season on loan to Highlands Park and was instrumental as the Lions of the North roared to the National First Division title last season. And a possible loan outing or an outright move – if an offer arises would be ideal for the defender born in Zebediela‚ Limpopo.

Cuthbert Malajila and Mogakolodi Ngele
Sad news for the Bidvest returnees – coach Pitso Mosimane has no immediate plans for the two.

After aiding Bidvest Wits claim the PSL crown, they had no choice but to report back to Chloorkop after the last league match. Wits Coach Gavin Hunt has not exercised the option to keep the two players on a permanent deal, as they seem not to be in his plans for the following season, according to Sundowns officials.

“You must also understand that they are not registered for CAF and I don’t have enough places for CAF. I only have three places to fill for CAF so the players that I am going to fill as the priority now are players who are not cup tied because I need to fill the three slots," said Mosimane when asked about the pair.

Again, a loan move for the Zimbabwean striker could be beneficial as he attains the twilight of his playing days.
