Darren Lurie, Arnaldo Gomes and Jonathan Philippe are three strikers reportedly under the microscope at Naturena, with hopes of donning the Glamour Boys regalia in the forthcoming season, and possibly plug the goal drought that has engulfed the Soweto giants.

The trio will work out to impress Steve Komphela to join fresh recruits like Zimbabwean Teenage Hadebe, Bhongolethu Jayiya and Philani Zulu.

Gomes, left South Africa in 2014 to join an academy in England, and according to that Academy - Performance Soccer Academy, before proceeding to Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit, Estoril Praia.
Who will Make it Past the Kaizer Chiefs Trials?

Former Mpumalanga Black Aces striker, Darren Lurie, is also with Chiefs after a stint in Europe. The 25-year-old was most recently playing for Hapoel Afula in Israel but has now been given a chance to impress Steve Komphela.

Lurie, who also played for Moroka Swallows earlier in his career, is currently a free agent following his return to Mzansi and is on the lookout for the next step in his career. He played four Absa Premiership games in 2013/14 and 2014/15 before going on to score on his debut in Israel back in August.

Argentine striker Jonathan Philippe appears to be edging closer to a move to Amakhosi. The 29-year-old arrived in South Africa last week to try and impress selectors at Amakhosi after leaving Greek side Agrotikos Asteras at the end of June.

He was left behind for the Botswana tour this past weekend, but with the team back in the country, he has been the go ahead to train with the rest of the squad.

Philippe is highly rated, but he's relatively unknown to South Africa. He scored eight goals in 31 appearances for Asteras.

Under fire coach, Komphela is looking for a quality striker to help both Bernard Parker and Gustavo Paez in the new season, having already released Lewis Macha, Camaldine Abraw and Siphelele Mthembu at the end of last season.

The club has since confirmed the arrival of the players at their base. - Online Sources
