Tennis star Serena Williams stripped naked for Vanity Fair magazine to show off her six months pregnancy, though her act attracted mixed reactions.

The viral image by Annie Leibovitz reveals Williams, proud winner of 23 grand slam singles titles, in front of a stark background, nude except for her hand cupping her breasts and a waist chain.

“If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby, I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world,” Williams revealed to Vanity Fair about her love life.

While some celebrities find it easy to reveal their bodies on red carpets or pose for media to earn a buck – can they do the same for a worthwhile cause?

But how easy or difficult is it top pose naked for strangers, especially if it’s your first time?

The latest edition of 2017 Marie Claire Naked Issue magazine, South African celebrities have done the unthinkable – stripped down to raise money for a variety of charities.

The 19 volunteers include Thando Thabete, K Naomi and Nomzamo Mbatha have posed nude for the magazine in support of worthy causes. Each of the stars got to choose the charity that is most important to them.

They then pose for a beautiful nude shoot to raise awareness and money for each cause, in turn the public has been invited to donate to each cause through the magazine’s website.

Nomzamo Mbatha, a South African actor and model has taken the challenge to raise money for Baphumelele in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.
