Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo has ended his long relationship with Amakhosi as he joins Baroka FC as technical director.
Khumalo confirmed the news at a press conference in Johannesburg on Thursday, Khumalo was confirmed as the Limpopo club’s technical director and will be working closely with Baroka head coach Kgoloko Thobejane.The former Bafana Bafana midfielder thanked Chiefs‚ for the part they played in the immense football brand he had become.
Khumalo's name is closely associated with the Chiefs brand and he has served the club as a player and as a coach in a long career that dates back to the 1980s.

At the beginning of last season the 50 year-old Chiefs legend was removed from the Chiefs bench and replaced by Ghanaian John Paintsil who has been also replaced by former Chiefs defender Patrick Mabedi.
Khumalo said: “I'm doing this because I love the game and I want to grow. But I want to give thanks to the Kaizer Chiefs family.”
This long history seemingly did not discourage the ambitious Baroka, as they roped in as their new technical director.
It is clear that Bakgaga wanted to do better in the coming PSL campaign, they don’t want a repeat of last season after escaping relegation by the skin of their teeth. - Daily Sun
