Legendary soccer player, Marks Maponyane, has been found guilty of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
This comes after the footballer-turned-TV sportscaster pleaded guilty on the charge of assaulting his ex-wife, Sylvia Maponyane.The judgment and sentencing was passed down on Marks last week Friday in the Tembisa Magistrate's Court.

The court has ordered the woman-basher to either pay R3 000 or spend six months behind bars, plus a further R6 000 or 24 months imprisonment which has been suspended for 24 months.
This marks the end of a one year debacle, in which Sylvia opened a case of assault in 2016 after Marks moered her.
Sylvia told the police that the altercation started when she confronted him about his infidelity. Marks then lost it and hit her in the face with a hanger.
This all took place in their home at the Midstream Estate in Centurion. Sylvia has also disclosed that she had to endure the abuse throughout their 22-year marriage. - Daily Sun
