Johannesburg - After the drama, resulting in cancellation of her much-anticipated travel to Zimbabwe, controversial raunchy dancer Zodwa Wabantu is surprised that people question the fact that she goes to church.
On Sunday, she was spotted at Thekwini Community Church in the Durban CBD with her friend, DJ Tira.The Durban socialite, whose real name is Zodwa Libram, said every human being, including her, needs to have a relationship with God.
“Why are people surprised that I go to church? I have a special relationship with God,” she said.

“Killers, rapists and all those people who’re doing bad things still pray and go to church – but they’re not questioned. I go any Sunday when I feel like it and ask God for strength. The service was nice and I heard what I needed to hear.
“I’m not attached to any church and I’m not deeply religious, but one needs to balance everything in life.”
The church attendance comes after she was supposed to appear at the Harare International Carnival in Zimbabwe earlier this month, but that never happened.
Daily Sun reported that Zodwa was advised to lie, saying she was sick and would not be able to perform. Her absence left angry fans wondering what went wrong.
It appears she was asked to wear panties during the show, which she refused to do, so she was dropped at the last minute. - Daily Sun
