Johannesburg - Steve Komphela's position at Kaizer Chiefs is not secure, as reports say he could face an internal hearing at given the club’s bad run of form.

Chiefs find themselves in a terrible vein of form at present having won just three of their last 15 games stretching back to last season.

And after a barren run of more than two seasons now it appears that the club is starting to lose patience with him.

According to Siya sources, Komphela will be called in for an internal disciplinary committee hearing with the Amakhosi’s management during the international break, with the club’s board wanting answers as to why the club’s form has been so bad.
Internal Hearing for Coach?

The Glamour Boys may be sixth in the Absa Premiership at present, however, have played more games than six of the 10 teams that are currently below them and face Mamelodi Sundowns in their first game back after the break.

It has previously been reported that Muhsin Ertugral is seen as a potential replacement for Komphela should he leave the club, although for the time being it appears that the current coach has the team’s backing.

Meanwhile, fans have reacted to the latest news. "Surely chiefs don't expect Steve to score goals for them, performance wise I stand with kompela," said one fan.

"Knowing chiefs they are too scared to lose money so they'll stick with their coach.. As for players they have no quality but quantity," another added.

One fan was not amused, "Steve must just tell his bosses that, these boys are uncoachable, losing has now become a tradition at chiefs." - Online Sources
