Kaizer Chiefs: Reshuffles Squad, Sends Midfielder on Loan

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs could look to send one of their midfielders out on loan in order for the player to salvage game-time elsewhere after failing to cement his place in Head Coach Steve Komphela’s starting line-up.

Keagan Buchanan, who joined the Soweto giants from Bloemfontein Celtic during the July/August transfer window period last year, has struggled for a place in the starting line-up for the Glamour Boys, with the 25-year-old not gaining the needed game-time.

Buchanan made just three appearances for Amakhosi so far in the 2017/18 campaign, with the player being kept on the bench in four encounters and in Chiefs’ recent Absa Premiership encounter, was completely left out of the squad.

However, the midfielder featured for Chiefs in their Macufe Cup win at the weekend, although, it was a club friendly where several fringe players were given a run.
New Setup at Chiefs

In issue number 1044 of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew was informed by sources close to Naturena that the 25-year-old’s name has been mentioned as one of the players who could be loaned out in the upcoming January transfer window period.

Siya sources have added that Amakhosi are still looking to make more adjustments to their current squad in the upcoming January transfer window period and as things stand, Buchanan could be one of the players that will be sent out.

Although, it remains to be seen whether the player will see a change of fortunes at Naturena and be given more game-time when the Absa Premiership returns next week. - Soccer Laduma
