Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns players Percy Tau and Denis Onyango with SperSport United skipper Dean Furman have been nominated for Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) awards.
Tau and Onyango are nominated in the African Player of the Year category and the Player of the Year Based in Africa, which also includes United captain Furman.Tau had one of the best season of his football career coming from loan Witbank Spurs in the National First Division (NFD) to help his side Sundowns to clinch the Champions League.

The winner will be decided by votes from the Head Coaches/Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF, members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of Media Experts.
The awards gala will be held on in Accra, Ghana on 4 January.
