Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune looks set for an extended stay on the side-lines after confirmation that he fractured a bone in his face in their 1-0 win over Chippa United in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final clash.
The Soweto giants confirmed on their official Twitter account that Khune suffered a facial fracture and would be seen by a specialist.A coming together as full-time approached, between Khune and Kurt Lentjies saw the game at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium halted for six minutes before both players were stretchered off and transported to a nearby hospital.

Immediately after the game Chiefs gave further details on the extent of Khune's injury saying that he had received a knock above his eye.
