Baroka CEO: Chiefs Offer for Ntshangase is Peanuts

Johannesburg - Baroka FC CEO Morgan Mammila believes midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase is worth up to R4 million and says the offer Kaizer Chiefs have made is not enough.

Mammila says Ntshangase has his heart set on playing for Amakhosi and they will not stand in the way of a move to Naturena if the Soweto giants make the right offer for the enterprising midfielder.

Bloemfontein Celtic, who are keen on having the player, look set to hijack the move.

The former Black Leopards player was in training with Baroka this morning ahead of their Absa Premiership match against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

“You know in football you go up and down. It’s still early and anything can happen. For now Ntshangase is a Baroka player.
Chiefs Target

“He has a say as a player in where he wants to go because we all have rights. He wants to go to Chiefs. It’s every player’s dream to play for Chiefs, but if Chiefs don’t come on board he has to open up his mind and see [where else he can go],” said Mammila after Baroka’s morning training session in Ga-Mphahlelele.

“Chiefs have put in an offer, [but] we don’t think the offer is good enough. A player like him can range between R2-4 million. I can’t say numbers, but the offer [Chiefs have made] is too little for us. And the player knows that the offer is too little,” he adds.

Mammila says there is another team that has submitted an offer for the playmaker, but he did not want to reveal the name of the club.

“There are a few teams looking for the services of Ntshangase. There have been talks and I think by next week everything will be sorted out. There’s Chiefs and there’s another team that we started talking to today. We will give you more information some time next week.” - KickOff
