Oliver Mtukudzi’s daughter, Selmor has finally been drafted into the lineup of artists to preform at the legend’s commemoration, scheduled for later this September.
Originally, the gig dubbed Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts, penciled for Pakare Paye, an arts centre established by the late singer, had excluded Selmor, leading to a social media outburst by her fans and other observers.Other participates at the gig are Mokoomba, Jah Preyzah, Feli Nadi, Killer T, among others, but it was the exclusion of Selmor, Mtukudzi’s child from his first marriage, who is active in music that left many angry.
The exclusion could have potentially reduced the number of attendees, over a family issue that has sucked Daisy, Mtukudzi’s second wife and other children over the late singer’s estate. The organisers sensed their error, vis viral social media protests, and worked behind the scenes to correct it.
A flurry of angry followers voiced their concern over her exclusion, however, they were happy to see her on the updated lineup. Below are some of the comments on Facebook.

Selmor, who is married to another musician, Tendai thanked her fans for fighting for her.

For that reason and in honour of my father's legacy, I will be coming to Pakare Paya. Please come out in your numbers and let's do this the right way. I love you all”
