Following the untimely death of Prince, his brother-in-law, Maurice Phillips has confirmed that the musical icon’s Paisley Park home in Minneapolis will be converted into a museum.
“It would be for the fans. He was all about the fans — this would remember his music, which is his legacy” said Maurice to a publication.Inside Prince's Mansion |
While the Grammy and Oscar award winner has already been cremated and memorialized by his family, there’s also a tribute concert in the works.
“I’m supposed to be the one musical director to put his tribute together with all of the original people and we hope that that happens,” said singer and drummer Sheila E. in an interview.
In the interim, Prince’s music has reentered the Billboard album charts. The Very Best of Prince and the Purple Rain soundtrack are currently holding the #1 and #2 spots.
Six other Prince songs including: “Purple Rain”, “When Doves Cry” “Kiss”, “Little Red Corvette” “Let’s Go Crazy” and “1999” have also reentered the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Rock Songs charts. - Online Sources
