Harare – Its official – Jamaican royal reggae family group Morgan Heritage will finally serenade reggae lovers in Zimbabwe at the Harare International Conference Centre – this comes after their previously advertised outing flopped.

After a few hiccups, the ensemble will arrive in the capital in separate batches – two days before their scheduled performance.

“Because their previous advertised trips that did not materialise, many people still doubt the trip. On Thursday morning the team will be here to tell Zimbabwe that their dream has finally come true,” assured the show organiser.

Who is Morgan Heritage?
The band which celebrates 12 years of existence was formed in 1994 by Denroy Morgan’s five children namely: Peter, Una, Roy, Nakhamyah and Memmalatel. 
Morgan Heritage 

After their initial appearance at the Reggae Sunsplash, they were signed and released their debut album, Miracles. Protect us Jah (1997) and One Calling (1998) were successive albums by the group.

Currently leaning on the 2008 release, Mission in progress – Morgan Heritage – they followed up with Here Comes the Kings in 2013.

Strictly Roots – a 2015 offering has won them a Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album 2016 category.

They have combined with various groups – and in Zimbabwe Oliver Mtukudzi will part of the performers.
