He walked out of Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto yesterday morning after a guest pastor preached about how wrong homosexuality was.

Bishop Dag H Mills, based in Accra, Ghana, allegedly asked church members if they had ever seen a male dog mate with another male. He apparently said homosexuality was unnatural.

Somizi took to Instagram to vent his anger. “I’ve just walked out, stormed out of church because some guest pastor from somewhere in Africa decided to speak about homosexuality. How it’s sinful and disgusting, and how not even animals practise it.
Somizi

“The church was even cheering. I am not going to sit there and listen to someone offending me. This is who I am. I am a gay man. Get it straight into your skull. My soul is alright with my God. Let me deal with my God and my soul. It’s like somebody offending black people in church and then you scream and shout.

“I’m actually disappointed at all the gay men and women who sat there and listened to him offending us and didn’t do anything.”

In a separate video, Somizi called on all pastors, but particularly those at Grace Bible Church, to come out and express their beliefs about homosexuality.

“For instance, Pastor Mosa Sono, say it out loud that homosexuality is not allowed, homosexuality is a sin, gay people must not come to our church. Say it so that we know and don’t waste our time. Instead we will find places where we can speak to our God.”

Daily Sun attempted to get comment from the church’s spokesman, but he had not responded at the time of going to print. - Daily Sun
