For eight months,  Rockford “Roki” Josphats played hide and seek with the law and sneaked into South Africa as police sought to quiz him for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Nyasha Valerie.

But after the death of his mother, Florence Josphat nee Masona in Chitsvatsva Village in Seke, the talented musician has run out of dodging options, and has to return home.
Roki Arrives in the Country for his Mother's Funeral

Since he “vanished”, Roki appeared to be enjoying life across the Limpopo and seemed unbothered by what awaited him at home after it is alleged that the “fight” had caused Valerie’s miscarriage that forced her to report the matter at Borrowdale Police Station in Harare under reference number CR879-8-16 for assault and theft of property.

Sources close to Roki’s family told The Standard Style that the Chidzoka hitmaker was expected in the country between yesterday and today ahead of his 56-year-old mother’s burial.

“It has been difficult to get hold of Roki, who was in South Africa, but they managed to get hold of him and he is likely to be in the country on time for the burial as mourners are gathered in Seke,” said the source.

Roki’s late mother is said to have once worked in the Zimbabwe National Army’s transport department before her retirement.

The carefree crooner has not been far from controversy in his career. He is rumoured to have fathered many children with different women. - The Standard/Online Sources
