Sad news for Kaizer Chiefs – as Karabo Litabe, is unlikely to move to Naturena during the current transfer window after penning a new deal, while two potential players were deemed excess baggage and never signed.

Media reports say Chiefs was keeping tabs on the player. At the time, it was confirmed by sources that Chiefs had sent their people to watch the player in action at one of Eagles' games

Meanwhile, Mahamadou Traore and Tanaka Chinyahara failed to make the grade – and eventually left the club after a short trial stint.

As previously reported, Chiefs showed interested in Litabe who has been playing for Royal Eagles.

“Some people saw Chiefs officials talking to the player… This was after Eagles’ home match with (the) University of Pretoria at the Harry Gwala Stadium, where Chiefs were apparently monitoring the player’s performance. There were four Chiefs individuals talking to the player,” the crew was told at the time.

Local football agent, Gerald Baloyi, said that the player has since extended his stay with Eagles. “Karabo Litabe has extended his contract with Royal Eagles. He is happy to stay at Eagles,” said Baloyi.

Traore and Chinyahara became two more trialists sent packing this month after they failed to catch the eye of Steve Komphela, adding to the growing list of failed trialists at the club.

Amakhosi have recently taken a look at many players as they sought potential new signings to improve the team and while some went on to earn contracts and contribute at Naturena.

Some of the failures include: Ivan Bukenya, Francis Kone, James Keene, Anthony Manison, Ahmed Toure and Gerardo Eliano Cozzolino.

Ovidy Karuru, Sula Matovu and Brylon Petersen failed dismally to ignite anything, while Zimbabwean import, Teenage Hadebe became the latest acquisition after his successful trial. – Online Sources
