Harare - Speculation on want-away South African-based and Zimbabwean striker, Khama Billiat whose coach at Mamelodi Sundowns has revealed his impending move, has been linked with an English Premiership move, according to media reports.

Billiat who was voted the second best African player playing in Africa at the 2016 Glo-CAF Awards held in Nigeria was reported to have been invited for a stint by Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

However, media research has proved otherwise.

“We are not aware of the Manchester deal but we only saw it in the media. Khama is still our player until June 2018 and is committed to the club (Mamelodi Sundowns),” said a source within the Masandawana ranks who preferred anonymity citing club protocols.

Sundowns have put a prohibitive asking price tag.

“Several clubs have inquired on his availability but unfortunately they are all unable to meet our minimum price tag on the player, with clubs from France, Germany, Netherlands, among other countries, havi shown interest on Khama but nothing concrete as of yet,” the source added.

According to information published by TransferMarket, Billiat is currently the most valued player in the ABSA Premiership with a net worthy of R1.275m.

Born in 1990 on August 19, Billiat played for CAPS United Football Club before he went on to play in the South African league.

Between 2010 and 2013, Billiat was playing for Ajax Cape Town in South Africa before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2014
