Troubled Wayne Rooney has vowed to rein in his boozy nights out — if wife Coleen cuts back on her holidays.

The 31-year-old ex-England skipper, arrested on a drink-drive rap last week, issued his promise in a bid to save their marriage.

But he is also said to have asked Coleen, 31, for changes. A source said: “He’s pointed the finger at her over the number of holidays she takes and she raised questions about his nights out with the lads.”

The footballer accused his wife of taking too many holidays - racking up ten in the past year. The Sun revealed yesterday that Coleen has decided to give her footballer husband “one more chance” after his drink-drive arrest in a single mum’s VW.

But it is understood both sides raised issues, with Coleen urging Wayne to cut down on his regular boozy nights out with mates and him asking her to reduce her air miles.

Coleen, 31, pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, is famed for her jet-setting lifestyle.

She is a fan of Barbados, but has also enjoyed recent trips to Madrid, Majorca, Amsterdam and Portugal on top of family hols in Lake Como, Ibiza, Las Vegas and Mykonos.

She was in Majorca with sons Kai, seven, Klay, four, and Kit, one, as Everton ace Wayne was arrested a week ago — and flew home to confront him.

A source said: “Coleen’s still furious with Wayne and is threatening all sorts. Wayne’s just hoping she’ll calm down.

“He’s told her he is willing to stop going out if that means she will stay with him. But he hasn’t totally held back himself. - The Sun
