Cape Town - Bobby Motaung feels that the emergence of exciting young talents like Wiseman Meyiwa and Siyabonga Ngezana are proof of Kaizer Chiefs' outstanding work in their academy.

The two teenagers have taken the league by storm this season and both scored on their debuts for Steve Komphela's team - Meyiwa against Cape Town City and Ngezana against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 19-year-old defender Ngezana's first two matches for Amakhosi have been against Sundowns and Pirates, while at only 17, Meyiwa has already racked up seven league appearances.

Commenting on the impact the two youngsters have made, Chiefs manager Motaung paid tribute to the work being done in the club's development ranks.

"We have an academy and we invest a lot of money in our academy. We are happy to see the youngsters graduating into the first team," he told The Star.

"We have top qualified coaches in our development and the coach who believes in youngsters. We have no secret. These boys have been taught about life skills at the academy.

"We are not worried about how they will handle fame. They understand the culture of the team very well," Motaung added. - News 24
