Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfield enforcer Willard Katsande has urged the team's young players to work hard and to make the most of their opportunities.

At just 17-years-old, midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa has already featured in five league games for Chiefs this season.

Khotso Malope has also made his debut, while the likes of Ryan Moon, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Yusuf Bunting are waiting in the wings for their chances.

Katsande says that the more senior players at the club such as himself are always ready to offer the youngsters their advice and support.
Willard Katsande

"Obviously we tell them: 'Do you want to be remembered as a flop? Do you want to be remembered as a bad player or do you want to be remembered as a good player?'

"This is the time to put in so much hard work. Every time you play show that you are determined, show that commitment.

"So it's always important to stay hungry because it will push you from a comfort zone to wanting to achieve more and more.

"So we always tell the upcoming stars to stay long in the game, especially under the name of Kaizer Chiefs," the Zimbabwean international was quoted saying by KickOff. - News24
