Yoweri Museveni: President to Ban Oral S.ex, ‘Mouth is for Eating’

The president of Uganda wants to ban oral s.ex in his country after telling media it was wrong because ‘the mouth is for eating’.

President Yoweri Museveni blamed ‘outsiders’ for trying to get people in Uganda to engage in oral s.ex, saying he wanted to make a public ‘warning’ about it.

Museveni is known for holding extreme homophobic views and has introduced some of the harshest anti-LGBT laws in Uganda since taking charge of the country more than three decades ago.

But in his latest speech he took aim at ‘wrong’ sexual practices as part of a campaign to criminalise them.
Yoweri Museveni
‘Let me take this opportunity to warn our people publicly about the wrong practices indulged in and promoted by some of the outsiders,’ he said. ‘One of them is what they call oral sex. The mouth is for eating, not for s.ex.

‘We know the address of s.ex, we know where sex is.’ It is illegal to be gay in Uganda after Museveni signed the draconian Anti-Homosexuality Act in 2014. Among the penalites for gay people was the threat of life imprisonment to anyone found to be having regular consensual gay s.ex.

The new act also made it a criminal offence not to report someone for being gay. It’s not the first time Museveni has voiced controversial opinions surrounding oral s.ex.

In 2014, after introducing the new anti-gay law, the president said those who engage in oral s.ex will get worms.

‘You push the mouth there, you can come back with worms and they enter your stomach because that is a wrong address,’ he said. In 2017, Pride in Uganda was also cancelled amid threats of arrests and physical violence against LGBT people, while just last month police raided an LGBT film festival.

In 2005, Museveni passed a law to abolish term limits for the office of president and earlier this year ended any age limit for the role, allowing him to continue ruling indefinitely. - Metro UK
