Khama Billiat: Soccer Agents Fight for Player's Signature

Johannesburg - In a bid to water down Khama Billiat's hard hitting social media post, his agent Mike Ngobeni from M Sport Management has said the messages were directed at other competing agents, seeking to lure him, promising him a lucrative deal, with his current contract expiring end of June

The revelation by his agent lays bare the behind the scenes tussling for his signature, since he will become a free agent at the end of June, and he is seeking a vacancy away from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat who engaged M Sport Management to represent his soccer interest recently, posted a cryptic message on his official Instagram account a few days ago, however, the post has since been taken down by the playmaker.

Ngobeni tried to explain the reason behind the player’s controversial Instagram post at the weekend.
Fight for Khama Billiat

“Look, this is subject to what was on the Instagram post, what was on Instagram was not meant for any club or any coach, it was meant for our colleagues in the industry.

“At the end of the day, he is so frustrated by other agents who are offering him things and lecturing him about his life and talk bad about other players and how they can manage him better.

“So he is just trying to say, he is not there for that, he gets frustrated because these guys keep on phoning and promising him things.

“So we are trying to say that it was not meant to any club, to any coach, to any sort of technical team, it was meant to our colleagues in the industry such as agents,” Ngobeni told Soccer Laduma recently.

The 27-year-old recently helped the Zimbabwean national team to lift the COSAFA Cup in Polokwane last weekend, adding a second piece of silverware to his trophy cabinet for the year.
