Harare - Synonymous with uncouth behavioural traits - Soul Musaka - aka Soul Jah Love once again exhibited his unpalatable character, after he was ejected from a plane, presumably under the influence.

The respected Zim dance hall chanter was arrested and taken off the plane for causing disharmony at the Robert Mugabe International Airport inside a South African bound plane.

According to media reports, police confirmed the arrest saying the ndini uya uya singer was taken to custody and is set to appear before the court today.

"I can confirm that Soul Musaka was arrested at the Robert Mugabe International Airport for unruly conduct as he disrupted the smooth flow of proceedings on the plane.”

Asst Comm Nyathi said the reason why the chanter was making noise and distracting passengers in the plane could not be confirmed yet.

"He was arrested in terms of section 83(4) of the statutory instrument of 2016 which deals with the security airport,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.

This is not the first time the dance hall artist has been arrested and has been hogging the limelight for the wrong reasons, for his scandalous and often intoxicated behavior which continues to injure his dying musical career.

It is a criminal offence to be drunk on an aircraft. Flight attendants have the right to refuse alcohol to anyone they believe has drunk too much.

It's also prohibited to drink any of your own alcohol - including any Duty Free bottles - that you've brought onto the flight. Cabin crew have the right to refuse to serve any passenger at their discretion.

But if things get out of hand, offenders can receive a maximum sentence of two years' imprisonment according to the Civil Aviation Authority.

The UK aviation industry brought in a voluntary code a year ago, recommending that airports and airlines should work together to limit disruptive behaviour and sell alcohol responsibly, which most of the big names have signed up to.
