Harare - Abigirl Makumbe is appealing to well-wishers to assist her with funds to undergo a kidney transplant surgery.
The bubbly 21-year-old, developed problems at a tender age, however, her kidney disease was only diagnosed late, only a month ago.At the moment, she has had a port surgically placed in her stomach for home care dialysis. But according to expert attending to Abigirl, he kidney function has dropped drastically and desperately needs a transplant.

Currently, the patient is at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare, which was in the news recently for lacking basic medical supplies, such as bandages and pain killers.
Friends to Abigirl's father, have since launched a gofundme initiative to raise the required $30 000 for the procedure.
Proceeds will be used for kidney transplant surgery in India, as well as travel expenses for her and her mom. Any additional funds will be used to help off set her monthly medical and living expenses.

"She loves animals and is looking to study animal sciences and become a veterinarian. She is currently a student at Makumbi High School in Zimbabwe. Abigirl has three younger siblings who really adore and look up to her," her family says.
