Chitungwiza – Reverend Nelson Chamisa has graced the ordination ceremony of Apostle Pride Sibiya.

The servant of God was ordained as a Bishop by Archbishop Asa Gurupira at the ongoing 2019 edition of Tiyambuke International Christian Convention (TICC). The gathering will run from 26 to 31 August.

A bishop is an ordained, consecrated or appointed member Christian clergy who is generally entrusted with a position of authority and oversight. They are given responsibility by Christ to govern, teach and sanctify the Body of Christ.

Apostle Sibiya is the founder of Glory Ministries, a church with a firm foothold in five nations, has been in ministry for 25 years. 

In 2001, after a command from God, he launched Glory Ministries. The initial service was attended by Apostle Sibiya. During the second service, the first member, now the international Overseer Shylock Masiyenyama joined him.

Since that day, he has advanced spiritually to become a notable orator on grand podiums across the globe – a relationship counselor and theologian. In Chitungwiza and beyond, he is regarded as one of the city fathers.

The church has grown from holding a service at home, to more than 100 assemblies in three nations of South Africa, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The servant of God is a sought-after marriage counselor, who holds the family institution dearly.

The ordination ceremony tallies with the 2019 theme: Give me this mountain – and one of the areas of influence is the religious mountain.

Reverend Chamisa is a vibrant politician, who leads the nation’s largest opposition party, is an ordained clergy who holds a degree in Pentecostal Theology from Living Waters Theological Seminary of Harare

The charismatic politician is identified for his eloquent deliverance on different platforms. He took over leadership of the party in 2018, after the death of Morgan Tsvangirai on 14 February 2018.

The advocate has held influential positions in government, legislature since the formation of his party in 1999. In July 2018, he narrowly lost the presidential harmonised elections to his competitor, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The local legislature, Job Sikhala also attended the gathering.
