It all began with a tweet when a farmer dared a food outlet what it took to deliver lunch to his village – 150km from their city base.

“So @terrymap1 asked us how many Retweets it would take for us to deliver lunch to Village 6?” Yanaya, the Harare food outlet wrote.

The outlet then dared people to retweet their post, igniting an avalanche of retweets. “We've decided, if you give us 1,000 Retweets & get us to 3,000 followers we'll deliver Terry that Yanaya wholesome goodness today! #ItWillEndInHealth.”

Following the call, Zwitters as Zimbabwean Twitter users are affectionally called, zealously heeded the call. And three hours later, they had attained nearly half of their target.

The comments were also punctuated with lighter moments. “Murikuita 150km dzekutamba nadzo here? Seriously though. We are amazed,” Yanaya teased. But the tweets came flooding.

However, @terrymap1, the person who instigated the challenge remained confident. “Tosvika chete (we will get there),” he reacted.

By 11 am, three hours later, the target was attained. “We’ve done it fam,” @tarrymap1 mentioned. After 1,477 retweets and 951 likes, the food outlets promised to deliver the lunch, 150 km from their Harare base.

Yanaya later conceded. “Wow, thank you for showing @terrymap1amazing love! We've crossed 1,000RTs. It's now our turn to drive 150km to deliver some fresh, wholesome goodness to Terry, Mai Terry & Ropa! This is the first time we are delivering out of Harare. Can we do it? Let's go! #ItWillEndInHealth.”

The food outlet identifies itself as “the 1st Zimbabwean exclusively healthy food joint! We serve amazing healthy Food & Beverages.” It has branches in Harare and offers food via an online platform.
