A day after being arrested at the magistrate courts, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary-general, Victor Matemadanda has been released on bail.
Two other war veterans’ leaders who are facing charges of undermining President Robert Mugabe, were also granted $300 bail by Harare magistrate Vakai Chikwekwe.
The Zimbabwe government has gone on an overdrive to suppress opposition voices - and war veteran leaders have been the latest target.

Douglas Mahiya was the first to be arrested resulting from a communique issued by the war veterans organisation.
