Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) leader Joice Mujuru reportedly fell ill in Bulawayo at the weekend and had to be rushed back to Harare for treatment.

Mujuru who expected to attend the first anniversary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) at White City Stadium on Sunday.

However, PDP deputy President Samuel Sipepa Nkomo told the gathering that Mujuru had to be rushed to Harare to see her doctors.
Joice Mujuru was Reported to Have Fallen in Bulawayo 

The former State vice president's solidity message was read by a representative from her party. "Mai Mujuru was supposed to be here today but she has fallen ill. She has been rushed to Harare to see her doctors," said Nkomo.

Zimbabwe's opposition parties appear to be close to forming a coalition against President Robert Mugabe's Zanu PF ahead of the key 2018 elections.

Mujuru joined MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai at recent a demonstration in Gweru while PDP leaders have also attended ZimPF rallies around the country.

Former home affairs minister and PF Zapu leader Dumiso Dabengwa also attended the PDP anniversary celebrations on Sunday.

Mugabe acknowledged the emerging united challenge from his rivals and ordered his Zanu PF to come up with new strategies to deal with the development. - New Zimbabwe
