Harare – Veteran gospel diva, Joyce Simeti has passed on after a suspected heart ailment, according to circulating social media reports.
She was 42.Dereck Mpofu broke the sad news via Facebook platform.

“So it's confirmed. Our sister Joyce Simeti is no more. Gutted. She went to work this morning and left coz of heart problem. Hatina musha panyika (we are visitors on this earth).
The late musician and mother of three was married to Stanely. Born in Mutoko, she ventured full time into music in 2002 with her initial album “Tose Takadanwa”.
She has six albums to her name and toured many countries to perform. Besides gospel, she had diverted into fashion designing.
At the time of her death, Simeti was working on a new offering, Ndakabuda Pakaoma. A member of UFIC led by magnetic Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, she was part of the Praise and Worship Ensemble.
Meanwhile, burial arrangements are yet to be announced...
