Throughout South Africa, jokes, videos, cartoons and stories are being spread that all end in cries of “Doooooom!”

Yes, the Pastor of Doom has united the nation – giving us all something to laugh about. They’ve gone wild over the use of Doom after Prophet Lethebo Rabalago made headlines this week by spraying Doom on members of his congregation.

Famous radio DJ Finzo said everything was possible with Doom. “Sweet and short, do you have problems? Do you desire to be short or tall? Your life will change with Doom,” he said.

Then the popular DJ, who stands on crates when he plays his set, sprayed Doom and laughed: “I can be tall now!”

Choreographer and presenter Somizi Mhlongo made a video in a supermarket. He showed three different Doom cans.

“This new product will not only change your life but will change your sexuality. All the stabans can change into straight men,” he laughed.

Holding up a different Doom can he said: “The ladies who don’t have men must try it. After one puff men will surround you.”

Musician Dr Malinga took no time to release a song called Doom Song Part 1. The video showed him driving his car while speaking in tongues. He sang: “Raba Doom, Raba Doom, Raba Dooomisa.”

He said the solution for jobseekers, people submitting tenders and people looking to get married all have one, cheap solution: “Raba Dooom, Raba Dooomisa!”

Comedian and actor Marc Lottering also had a picture of himself getting ready to spray his hair, with the caption: “My hair’s not doing too great today, but wait!”

Political parties, however, are taking the matter seriously. The EFF’s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi tweeted: “Soon we might have to go and fellowship with the #DoomPastor. We won’t stand the abuse of black people anywhere.”

Ndlozi later tweeted: “Has #ProphetOfDoom not heard what happened to the #SnakePastor? No problem! EFF iyeza.”

But on Wednesday he also saw the joke and announced in a video he had been ordained as a pastor and would Doom VIP bodyguards outside Parliament. - Daily Sun
