Harare – Self-anointed dancehall nurse, Lady Squanda has urged mothers to support their children and become good mothers in society.

Born Sandra Gazi, she gave birth to her second child on Easter Saturday. Abuse of illicit drugs and vulgar langauge has dominated, tainting the music genre.

“I am the happiest woman in the world right now. I gave birth today (Saturday). The gestation period is now over and I look forward to take good care of her,” pronounced an elated Lady Squanda.

The daughter is her second.

“There is nothing prettier than giving life to someone, she is my second daughter. I am proud to be a mother of two children.”

She has since gone on maternity and will bounce back after three months.

“I am on maternity leave and I promise to bounce back in the music circles in style in three months’ time. The break gives me the opportunity to better myself as well,” she said.

Lady Squanda has risen to fame with offerings including Ndiri Warrior, Zvinoita Rudo, Chimudhara chisina ndebvu, Kana Ndaenda and Zvimadhara Zveraggae.

The chanter dedicated a song to her fans, while promised another scotching album soon.

“I dedicated the song Kana Ndaendato my fans. It was a farewell bid to my fans as I was going for maternity leave. I will start to work on my ninth album soon and I believe it will win hearts of many.”
