Johannesburg - Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael might be tired of rumours linking him with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United - but the Belgian has established himself as a top coach, transforming his club into trophy contenders.
Eymael who penned a two-year deal with Ea Lla Koto in August, has bolstered his profile by transforming the club from regular relegation battlers to title contenders this season.
He is also a graduate from the Federal School of football coaching of Union Royale Belge Des Sociétés de Football Association (URBSFA). He also holds the CAF A License which he received from the Tunisian Football Federation on 5 February 2015.
He has worked with many of Belgium's current and former footballing stars and has played an integral role in their growth as a footballer, Eden Hazard, Axel Witsel, Logan Bailly, Guillaume Gillet, Christian Benteke and François Sterchele, to name a few.
And while Eymael has a buyout clause in his contract and previously acknowledged interest from abroad in his services, he has downplayed talk he is on Chiefs' and SuperSport's radars.
"Every day I get calls from journalists asking me about the same question... blah blah blah and all these rumours," says the former Polokwane City coach.
"I still have a contract with Free State Stars. I have a buyout clause. I don't know anything about these rumours about Chiefs and SuperSport. If there is interest, [Stars boss] Rantsi [Mokoena] will be the first person to know. I will know. You know me, I am an honest person, I will tell you."
SuperSport parted ways with coach Eric Tinkler last weekend, while Steve Komphela's three-year contract with Chiefs expires at the end of the campaign.
