Harare - Former Dynamos and current Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa has rubbished as bar talk, reports of his imminent return to the ailing Harare football giants.

“I don’t know what this world is coming to where people can just publish anything they hear or they believe because I have not intentions whatsoever of going back to Dynamos as coach or in any coaching capacity,’’ Chidzambwa said.

“I had my time as Dynamos coach and we achieved what we achieved and I have moved on and I am now coaching the national team.

“Of course, Dynamos is my old club but that doesn’t mean people should rush to just say I am about to go back there as a coach,’’ revealed Dynamos' most successful coach.

He said the reports are bar talk and should be dismissed.

“We should not let bar talk, from some people who don’t have anything serious to discuss and end up talking about others, to be treated with respect because if we keep going this way, tomorrow you will read that I am about to coach Manchester United because that is my other team.’’

Chidzambwa says he is focusing on his national team job.

“I am fully focused on my job with the Warriors and the disappointing thing is that every time I am now being forced to talk to my employers to tell them that there is nothing true in all this because, remember, I was also said to be about to go to a foreign team but I am still here.’’

Chidzambwa formerly Marimo played as a defender for Dynamos, with whom he won five league championships. He also played at international level for Zimbabwe, appearing in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match in 1980.

After retiring as a player, he went on to manage Dynamos, the Zimbabwe national team (in 2004 at the 2004 African Cup of Nations and 2007, and South African team Umtata Bush Bucks, where he was unable to take up the position because he lost his passport; he was replaced by Clemens Westerhof.

He was re-appointed manager of Zimbabwe in November 2008, leaving in May 2010 to manage South Africa's Free State Stars. Marimo quit Free State Stars in August 2010, later becoming manager of Black Leopards.

On 20 October 2012 was banned by the FIFA and ZIFA for match fixing the next 10 years. He was appointed as one of three Zimbabwe national team coaches in July 2017.
