This has happened before and it is not the last. Every time a se.x tape surfaces, the actors always have something up their sleeves to try and defend the act.

However, consumers of these mature phonographic acts are now mature and know what to expect. As usual, the trending s.ex tape this time featuring Zimdancehall DJ Levels and upcoming Rnb singer Shashl offers little, or nothing at all in terms of new angles, twist of climax.

The daughter of a former minister, Shashl soon went on the defensive claiming that, 'DJ Levels would beat her up or shout at her if she doesn’t pick up his calls. Shashl revealed that at one time she was left with bruises after Levels assaulted her."

Again, she further accuses her former lover of 'leaking their bedroom tape as revenge. She says that Levels leaked the s.ex tape because she told him that she doesn’t want to be with him anymore.'

For those who have seen these kind of content before, there is nothing new about what she is saying, in fact, this has become an overused defence line for those who have been exposed during the two-some acts.

To add to her list of accusations, the Ghetto Buddies hitmaker explained that this is not the first time, Levels has leaked their private pictures. She claims he once leaked a video of them kissing after she wanted to break up with him sometime this year.

Shashl revealed that Levels has been physically and verbally abusing her and has added rape charge to he list of accusations, with reports saying she will open a case of rape at the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, DJ Levels has countered the claims brought by his ex, saying that his phone was 'allegedly' hacked and the footage retrieved. The music produced has since gone A.W.O.L, before he sent his apologies.

"I would like to apologize to my fans, family, my bosses nemi mese vanyarikani. Please forgive me.Maoneswa zvinhu zvakadai I’m very sorry. I’m not going to blame anyone but myself," Levels said.

He added, "Thank God zvabva zvatopera hachisisina chimwe chakapfuura zvavaita. I promise you never see such again I’m sorry my Samsung s21 was stolen from pabloz nezuro after a small fight so these were in phone but I’m sure they are done now. I’m sorry."

But before these two concerting adults qualify for peoples' empathy, they must understand that they are not the first ones to be engaged in these acts and their apologies have been overused by other culprits before them.

In short, people are now tired of these overused clichés, in a bid to squeeze them out of tight corner and find favour, or revive a waning relationship. Former TV actor, Denzel Burutsa once tried this trick, but it did little to save his sinking career.

Monalisa Chavura also went through the same path, however, the damage had already been done.
